Help!!! When CA goes wild!!

I just made my first acrylic pen where I was happy with the finish, and then I had a CA accident. I was trying to put a couple of drops of CA on the tenon so I could slide on the centerband, and the CA splattered out onto the pen. Soooo, any recommendations as to how I might be able to save this? Is there a solvent that removes CA without harming the pen underneath?

Acetone seems to have worked! Unfortunately the endpiece was already on the cap, so I'll have to disassemble at some point to really polish it up again, and I don't have any disassembly tools as yet. But it looks much better. Acetone, the miracle drug!

If you do it VERY carefully, you can put masking tape on the fittings and use a plastic polish, by hand, to repair the dull spot.

NO lathe involved---just to be clear. Do this all by non-powered revolution!!:eek::eek::eek:
 
Ed, that's exactly what I did for now. Just put some plastic polish on and buffed rapidly by hand. I learned my lesson, though. From now on, squeeze some CA on a scrap piece of matboard, and apply with a toothpick.
