My fiancé is holding an intervention on me! Does anyone know where I can find a local chapter of "Penturners Anonymous"? I live in the Houston area. If you know, please inform Doc, "Wizard", too. Hahaha! Just let me know who's shop has the coldest beer. Shhhhhhhhh!

Oh No not one of those, just don't let them talk you into going cold turkey, try cutting bak to Jrs, then Sierras, then Slimlines then Key rings , but Just not all at once.

For those that didn't recognize the sarcasm, there is a show on some channel that is "It's me or the dog".....

Good luck with bringing her to the dark side. Have you tried to get her to turn one? It might help but then again your shop would never be the same. :eek:
 
I don't necessarily claim the coldest, but I do at least keep the "National Beer of Texas" on hand at all times. Never know when you might need to cast that special piece of "worthless" wood, and not have a mold handy.

Let's just make sure that our wives don't get together, that might be dangerous.
 
I'd say come to my place in the Heights near downtown, but Monty's shop is air conditioned and he has a lot more woodworking toys in his man cave.

Shawn, It's about 5 AM and I'm headed to my shop to get my "fix" and turn a pen. I come back in the house around 6:45 AM and get a cup of coffee before everyone else wakes up. No one is the wiser..right? NOT!

The key to "using" and getting away with it is simple if you follow two rules.

1. THOU SHOULD NOT get on this site and post a picture. That rule is because anyone that knows your online name can check the site periodically to see what the "addict has been up to lately".

2. The second, and the harder THOU SHOULD NOT is to resist the insane act and succumb to the overwhelming urge to pull the pen out and utter the words " Hi honey, see what I made".

Since I pretty much can't help myself and end up doing one or both of the above:rolleyes:...let me know when and where the meetings are and we can have a cup of coffee together. Regards, Doc
