I have a Delta portable dust collector AP-300 with a single bag.
It has a 30 micron bag. I have found a 5 micron bag, would this trap most of the dust ?

5 is better than 30 but you can do better. .05 micron filters are available and recommended. It's the real fine dust that you can't see that does the most harm.

John, while a 5 micron bag will certainly do better than the 30 micron bag, I think this one would fit and do better for you. Check item #H4340 at this Grizzly link.

I don't have model numbers and sizes handy, but I believe your dust collector corresponds to the Grizzly G1163 model.

It is best to have nothing larger than 2 micron. the canister filters work best for allowing the air to still move. more filter area.
