I just got a new Ridgid 14inch bandsaw today and it was working fine for a while and now the upper rubber on the wheel keeps being pushed off. Question maybe the ruber is old and not conforming anymore? I don't know what is going on.

Sounds like your tire has stretched and the blade is pushing it off the wheel .
Something to check , is the blade riding on the crown of the tire ? . If it's not and your blade is over tensioned , that would push even a good tire off the wheel .

Then it sounds like the tire is stretched . Stock factory tires aren't the best of quality , replace them with a set of Urethane tires . They cost about $15 when I bought mine about 10 years ago .

I just thought about that , my band saw is now 10 years old . Who says Harbor Freight tools don't last . This thing still cuts veneer like it was brand new

You said it was new .... if so take it back!
If you meant it is "new to you" ... could it be that the previous owner replaced the tires? If so, maybe they need to be glued to the wheels.

This company specializes in bandsaws ....lots of good info...

I thought that was their full catalog .... not sure now if they are still in business. Worth giving them a call and asking for a catalog if they are.

Ok... they do not have a web site. I believe they charge for their catalog, however, if you search for Iturra Design you can find it in a downloadable .pdf

After using my bandsaw for awhile the same thing happened . Took the tires off, cleaned them and the wheels then glued them back on with rubber cement. Been great ever since then.

If you do replace them with the Urethane tires , don't use glue . Heat them in some boiling water and slip them over the wheels and they will shrink as they cool and lock on to the wheels . They will also run much quieter and smoothly then the stock ones .
