I'm making a pen for my mom for her birthday and in one end the bushing is stuck in it. I've wiggled,pounded and pushed on it but it won't come out!
Help bushing stuck!!!!!!!!!

More information needed, Jared. What kind of pen kit? What kind of bushings? Are you using a pen turner's mandrel or dead and live centers? What stage of the turning/finishing process were you when this happened? For instance, did you just finish putting a CA finish on?

Agree with Michael, that we probably need more information.. However, if it is just one bushing stuck I would recommend a combination of the following two things:
1) Careful scoring with a sharp blade between the blank and bushing (Exacto or razor blade) esp if CA finished
2) Tap from inside from other end with a transfer punch (hey if it can disassemble a pen, then this should be easy)

Alphy (alphageek) has given you the best generic advice. The razor knife does wonders after a CA finish!!

It's one of them "sculptured pen kits from PSI. I'm using the pen turner's mandrel and no I don't use CA finish 'cause I don't know how to. By the way I took it off the lathe and it was stuck the pen was finished already.[][B)]
