I'm Ryan and I've been woodworking for about 3 years now, I bought a lathe about a month ago took a class with Frank Bowers from woodcraft Alpharetta he is awesome by the way!! Fell in love with turning pens. Love seeing all the talent on here. Look forward to adding a lot more of my own.

Hello Ryan !! . Warm welcome to IAP !!!

Thanks for showing some of your work already .... gorgeous pens !!!

In the first pic of 5 pens, what pen kit did you use for the blue one (4th from top) ?

Also, what is the name of the blank on the green+black Executive style pen in a pic by itself and where did you get that blank, please ?

Thanks

Thank you!! The blue one is a kaleidoscope kit I got it from woodcraft https://www.woodcraft.com/products/...5b8469702d2f2f0014b8,57645bee69702d2f2f0014bb
I also got the wood for the green one there too. I think it is for making bottle stoppers but it worked great for the pen. The kaleidoscope also has its own bushing kit as well.

@Ryan's pens

Thanks ! . So it's actually a chunk of Spectraply. . Presumably you get that spiral twist effect on the pen by cutting the blank appropriately at the beginning before turning it..
