I thought I better quit messing around & join your group. I have been lurking around your site for about a year & a half.
The quality of work I have seen here is just plain over the top crazy GOOD. I have turned about 30 pens. 10-12 hour work days prevent me from spending as much time in the shop as I would like. The quality of my work took a jump after finding this site.
I will in the future be purchasing more products from your vendors. My experience with them so far has been GREAT.
I hope in the future to contribute & repay what I have learned from this forum. I will post some pics after I learn a little more about how your forum operates.
Thanks, Greg Peterson

Welcome Greg. Since you have been looking on this forum for a while you probably have seen the following PDF file and link but I will post them for you as a welcome. I don't want to leave you out in case you haven't seen them:

The link below to a PDF file that goes over many aspects of pen turning from finish - to pens - to tools - to methods etc. It is not in detail but a good overview for pen turning. Hope it helps.

Also included below is a link to a recent post that gives some information that people wished they had known earlier in pen turning. Some good information by those that make pens.
