I'm a woodturner, but relatively new to pen turning, and have come to your group because of a PDF file on cross-referencing tubes and bushings by 'wracinowski.' It was shared on Woodbarter.com by Arkie, and I found your Library so useful I decided I had to join. Thank you for all the pages and pages of material I'm going to have to go through to learn more about my new endeavor! Hoping to get to know many of you, and share in the knowledge.

I think you already know me:eek:

Hello, Lyle! I think your acrylic pen gift my kids bought for mother is the Reason I started pen turning! You were my big influence, and you do Beautiful work!

Thank you! I don't know if I should feel proud or guilty:smile:

This is as much addiction as hobby. All I wanted to do was turn component pens. Then it was segmenting my own blanks, then I needed to pour my own resin. Now I'm on to kitless pens. I've recently been reading the metal lathe forum:eek:. It won't stop!

Hello Barb, from Spokane, WA. We have a pen turning club that meets at the Woodcraft in the Spokane Valley. If you're planning a trip to Spokane, we would love to have you as a guest. Incidentally, we have members from Ritzville and Moses Lake who attend our meetings. Glad to have you here! Our web site is: www.inwpta.info

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody. Nice to see so many 'neighbors' here! Bill, the Spokane Valley is a long way to drive for a meeting, but if I'm ever close by, I'll definitely want to contact and check in with you. Thank you for the invitation! Wenatchee is a 'drylands' area for guilds, clubs and associations.

Having turned pens for the past two years and now I have embarked on turning pepper mills. To add to the gift of a pepper mill, I would like to add a salt shaker but am having difficulty trying to find the stainless steel tops. I can find a 3/4" top but would prefer one a little larger like 1". Can anyone give me a web site where I can find same. Thx
