Hi everyone. My name is Steve and I have just started turning Pens about on month ago. Took a lathe class, to learn how to use the lathe, at a local woodcraft store and haven't looked back. I have only turned around 10 pens so far, but I love learning and I'm having fun. Ordered my first "tube-in" silicone blank and some polyester Resin to make my own blanks. Can't wait to turn some more and be creative and learn from everyone. Attached are a few of the one's I have created and I'm very proud of, for first time making them. Hope you enjoy my pics. Can't believe that Celtic knot from a newbie ... there seems to be a heck of a lot going on there !!!

Nice work on the pens! I am also new to pen turning and I've been reading and learning a lot about making my own resin pen blanks too-so much to learn! IAP is a great place to gather information. What part of VA are you located? I'm in Goochland, VA.
