Greetings one and all. I've been lurking on the site for a month, and now that I've gotten a lathe, built a bench, bought some tools and turned a few pens I thought it was time to join.

Many thanks to all those who have posted. The tips, ideas and creativity found on this site are a godsend to a newbie like me. Although I've been a woodworker for many decades, I had never had a lathe before. I took an introductory class at the Woodcraft here in Pompano Beach, and have been working through my homework, 10 slimlines. I'm on number 6, and will post some photos when I hit 10.

I look forward to time well spent here at the IAP. Thanks again!

Welcome Marc. DOnt feel bad Jim its supposed to get down to 28 here tonight. Im south of Tampa by a 150 miles.
 
Welcome from 17 degree West Kentucky. We had a heatwave today, it got all the way up to 19F. With the sun shining, the snow melted off the paved roads. Kentucky's Highway Department is a Green Department, no salt, no plow. God put it there, let Him remove it.
