I started turning pens about 10 years ago, but haven't been doing any turning for a few years. Just started turning again and found this forum. I have learned a lot already. I hope this time that I can actually make a little money from my pens. Previously, I mostly turned them as gifts. But since I lost my job in Nov., I'm looking to make a little coin any way I can. I have included a few pics of pens i have done in the last couple of weeks. Please feel free to pick them apart for me, and the photography as well. Thanks for having me!

Welcome Mack! That is some great looking pens you have. Your experience is evident.

As a welcome I am including a link to a PDF file that goes over many aspects of pen turning from finish - to pens - to tools - to methods etc. It is not in detail but a good overview for pen turning. You know most, if not all of it already, but it might offer some good reading in case some new things are there. :)

Also included below is a link to a new post that gives some information that people wished they had known earlier in pen turning. Some good information by those that make pens.

Mach9, Do you have plenty of wood. I have tons of blanks that I will never get to turning. If there is something that you want that I have you are welcome to a few blanks to help you out on a good cause. Drop me a pm if you like and I put a box together. Jon

p.s. Welcome to the bbs.
