Hey folks just thought I'd say hi. I'm Alex and I'm born and raised in South Central lower Michigan. Just signed up the other day after a referral from a fellow woodnet member. I haven't tried pen turning yet but I've been a woodworker for years, recently becoming a professional woodworker building wooden wings for custom vintage biplanes. Hopefully I'll learn a lot of good stuff here and meet a lot of nice folks :smile:

Welcome aboard Alex. I'm in NW Indiana, but was in Lawton yesterday for my Granddaughter's birthday.

edit to add: Actually was just looking at your maple slabs on the other site--really tempting for the price, but I just don't have the projects for them!!
