Hello from Illinois

New member with zero experience turning anything, but a big fan of pens and always wanted to make my own. Thanks to research on this site I went with an 8 x 16 Grizzly metal lathe. Still figuring out all the tools and methods to do everything, but thanks to all the information on this site I think that will be much easier for me to do. Haven't made anything yet but excited to get started and share once I do. I'm lucky to have family in wood/metal turning who can help advise and guide me.

Oh wow thanks! I live in Huntley, about 25 minutes west Of Schaumburg. I'll check out the group and would be interested in something like that once things are better.
