Welcome from Australia my French is from the 1940,s at high school. Napoleon established a colony of French people just north of Berlin in the 1800,s,My greater grandfather moved from France surname Bennier married a German lady,they emigrated to Australia around 1852. These were part of my Mothers family. Which part of France is your home area?
 
Welcome from the Deep South USA. You lost me after Bonjour. I speak Spanish also, and do alright with Portuguese but never learned any French. It's a beautiful language.
