Food for thought.

A while back I donated an Emperor Cocobolo pen to the Red Cross for a raffle they had.

I’ve called the man that won it a couple times to make sure everything was all right with the pen.

Last time we talked, I again gave my little speech, “because it’s wood it will expand, shrink and the tone/color of the wood may change. It also may develop fine hair line cracksâ€

His answer was “that’s good, it’s just like my fine old pianos that I restore and finish…….â€

It had one of my favorite finishes, furniture shellac and polish. You can use your favorite finish on your pens…:D

A few days latter I received in the mail an envelope full of “his best looking†Ivory piano keys that he uses to
restore his projects.

I see some inlays in my future…….pete
