Haven't Seen One in Awhile

This is a Ginter bottle stop. I can't even remember when I bought these but finally dug one out and made it. Not as difficult as I thought it would be. The wood is Kwila finished with Deft gloss. Thanks for looking and comments are always appreciated.

It was a friend of Fangar's who made them I believe. I have a bunch of kits, but thought they looked pretty hard so I haven't wanted to tackle on yet, but it seems like a more worthwile stopper design. Maybe if they aren't as hard as they look, I'll have to try one soon.

Pardon my ignorance but exactly what is a Ginter bottle stop?
Nice turning and nice finish. I like Kwila.[8D] It can be interesting wood to finish well.

This bottle stop actually tightens inside the neck of the bottle by twisting the top. There is a rubber "cork" inside that expands when the top is tightened. You can see them here as well as the directions:

Looking good... I just bought a few of these to try.. just got them today, so haven't tried yet, but I like the concept.
