I have followed his videos for a while now, he's a great person to talk to and to do business with. If you call him he usually calls back if he misses your call. He'll answer any and all questions that you might have about turning, plus he has his own line of carbide tools that are cheaper then anywhere else on the net. He's just, an all around nice friendly helpful person to deal with. I direct a lot of people to his site, even if it's just to watch his videos.

Looks petty cool

I like his shop almost as cluttered as mine  (but I got him beet at that)
Everything at arms reach

I will keep an eye this

I will probably throw an entry in there too because he does not say anything about when it had to be made. Now to decide which one to post:smile:

# 179 Pen Challenge Results - YouTube

Not sure how many people watched this contest but if interested here were the results.

Congrats to Mike (Mikespenturningz) for placing fourth.

I placed sixth overall. It was a fun little contest. Always like to go up against the peers to see how you stack up. Will have to see what his next challenge will be. If anyone here voted for my pen I want to thank you for the support.

thank you for the link John. It was interesting to see the winners. None of the top 3 was my choice but what the hey. I would have thought someone would have plugged the IAP in the comments, Or at least invited capt Eddie to join.

Hey JT!!!

Maybe Kenny Mayes predates your membership, but he was an active IAP member, a few years ago!! Congrats on your win, Kenny!!!! --ken69912001
(Last activity today at 8:52 AM, so he still drops by!!)

No Ed. I joined in Feb 2005. Visited before that too. I did not recognized the name because of his little activity here. Congrats on the win and would be very interested if he actually made the blank for that pen. The one problem with that contest there basically were no rules and you could not explain your pen. You were allowed only one photo. Still was a bit of fun.
