I realize that this is an international forum, however I see no reason we can not all be thankful together.
There are so many things that I am thankful for that there is no way to express them all to you, but here goes a few. I am thankful that there are people such as Jeff and the staff of mods that make available to us, this wonderful site upon which we can express our views, share our problems, give and receive advice and training, offer support to friends we may have never met face to face, but friends none the less. I am thankful for a bountiful life with the freedoms to do pretty much as I please. I am thankful for all the brave young men and women that stand the line to provide a safe and secure place to enjoy these freedoms, even the freedom to have Thanksgiving. I am thankful for my old beat up lathe upon which I can take one of God's gifts, a knarley piece of wood, and turn it into either a good pen or a pile of dust. I am thankful for teh many men and women here on this site that are so verbose with their wit and wisdom, that make this site so much fun to read and banter upon. No, I will not try to start naming them for the abject fear of leaving many out. then there are the mods that do the oft thankless chore of trying to keep us all inbounds, as loose as they are.
Oh, there are so many things to be thankful for that I do not even know what many of their names are.
To the same mods, if this is deemed to be religeous or political, I now have it off my chest, go right ahead and delete it, I will understand. If not, that is just one more thing I can be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving to us all.
Charles

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

I am thankful for all I've learned here in addition to all the rest that I'm thank full for.

I don't know if any other countries celebrate thanksgiving now, but if not - feel free to join in being thankful for all you have.

(And I don't see any reason to be a moderator here Charles!)

So much to be thankful for, even in the midst of a deep and long recession! Thanks to you all for teaching me so much and showing me your work. I was up at 6 am to fire up the smoker for the turkey and spent some time thanking God for all my friends and family and health and way of life. It's not nearly as good for millions of people in other countries, that's for sure. Our turkey dinner is the same amount of food they'll have for a month or more, and as much meat as they get in a whole year.

Once again, Charles, I sure enjoy reading your entries----THANKS!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!

:biggrin::biggrin:Jeff (Powell) you have some very "erudite" traditions, I'd guess!! This is not one of them!!:biggrin::biggrin:
