Chuck; I see you are just outside Edmonton, I spend a wonderful week skiing at Lake Louise and Banff several years ago. We stayed at the Banff Springs Hotel.

Banff is awesome - went there for my honeymoon and about a dozen times before that.

Cindy - the holiday is the same, we just celebrate it earlier. In our case, it doesn't commemorate any landing of settlers, but rather a feast of thanksgiving at the end of the harvest season (hence the cornucopia of bountiful harvest veggies)...
