Hello, I registered on the forum a few months ago, but so far I've only browsed occasionally. Fortunately, I'll have more time to look around in the future and hope to get lots of tips.

I come from Germany - the Ruhr region - and have only recently started woodturning, specifically pens and a few rings.

Greetings from Nebraska in the USA. I never made it to the Ruhr area when I was visiting Germany. Most of the times I was visiting I flew into Hamburg on my way to visit one of the Vishay plants up North in Heide. I did get to spend some time at meetings in Sankt Peter-Ording though. It is a beautiful country. I especially enjoyed my time in the West. I would fly into Munich for company meetings that were held in Landshut. I always enjoyed staying there and walking across the bridge in the mornings to buy fresh strudel for breakfast. I wish I would have taken the time to go up to see the castle, but I never did.
