Today is the beginning of Chinese New Year followed by Spring Festival! China takes 9 days off of the rat race to enjoy time with family. For me, its the start of a very boring 9 days...no work...family in the US.....and me with no lathe here to make pens with!

I'll spend my time living vicariously through the rest of you pen turners on pen turners.org. One year and 2 months left before I can return to my shop and get back to what really matters...family and woodworking!

Been there and fully understand. I did some time in Taiwan and Singapore and can fully relate. Make the most of it and pen turning will wait for you! Happy New Year BTW:smile:

Now that I think of it, I was seriously considering one of those small mini lathes to put into my hotel room...................think about it!

I have been considering that! Not sure the hotel will appreciate it though!

My son set up his mini lathe in his apartment living room once... his comment was "That's what shop vacs are for".:biggrin:
