Made the top from a single piece of local black walnut 2" thick 12" wide, a little over 4' long. Lower shelf is also walnut. The legs are steel tube I purchased for a local place and had a friend weld up for me.

I just love walnut with some future. There are some nice curls in this top.

Thanks. I predrilled the steel before the parts got welded together. Then used lag screws.

Wonderful family piece! This (as well as the others you have done) will be cherished much more in 20, 30+ years (when we all will be old...er. :wink.
