Evelyn and I got home a bit ago from the MAPG. We had a fantastic time meeting folks who up until how I had old known here. Jeff Brown, Cody Walker, Mark James to name a few. Evelyn and I both picked up some nice blanks from the vendor and got to meet the new owners of The Classic Nib Niels and Debbie Mathiasen. Great folks to meet, great demo to watch, great vendors to buy from and my wonderful wife Evelyn with me what more could I ask for.

It was a great time, putting faces to names, meeting new people and catching up with others. I enjoyed it all especially the cookies.
Glad you enjoyed the cookies and I will make sure to bring more next year.

I missed out on most of the cookies and I am a cookie monster! I ESPECIALLY love Snickerdoodles and by the time I found the cookies, there was only one of them left! I would have traded a few pen blanks for some good, home made snickerdoodle cookies!

Betsy and I had a another great time being a vendor there, after missing last year, and want to thank everyone who had a hand at organizing another great MAPG this year! It was great seeing old friends and making new ones and putting faces with names. Thanks again to everyone who participated this year!

If I had only known this Curtis I could have made a personal visit to you and given you some cookies from Jeff's plate.

This was our 4th year for MAPG and again, we were not disappointed. I must confess my plan for the first year was to be polite and stay for the first demo or two then leave and head over to Short Pump mall. I was completely surprised because I enjoyed every bit of it even though I don't turn. I am more of the "idea" person or support personnel. Every year is different and I learn something new.

This year's line up was superb. I believe there is something for every level of turner. I discovered that some demos I felt were over our heads in previous years were relevant this year which means we are growing as turners.

So........if anyone ever has the chance to go to an event like this, DO IT! You will walk away with an arsenal of new tricks and ideas.

Yup, Sorry for you Curtis, you got "Hosed!" "A Few" cookies were munched by the ladies behind your table...

MAPG Committee: GREAT JOB!!!

As a minor member of the MPG Committee, I know the amount of work you folks did; and this was a wonderful weekend. Be proud - Mission accomplished!

Demos, contests, venue, vendors, prizes, all well organized and executed. Your committee did great!!!

I had two cookies, a choc chip and a PB, they were great. I had a lot of fun, enjoyed meeting new people and catching up with a few others, Curtis your girls were the life of the vendor room.
Thanks to the organizers and a big thank you to the attendees who dropped their hard earned at my table.

I knew this weekend was going to be busy for me with stuff around the house. So I was only able to make it up Friday night. It was great seeing everyone.

I must apologize to Curtis's daughter, she asked if we were going to be back Saturday, and we told her we were not. (Okay she wanted to hang out with someone her age, my daughter)

Since we drove home to SW Mo it took us a while to get back (finally pulled in Monday night around 11 PM) - we also made some personal time on the drive home to do some genealogical research on Debbie's family who where from VA originally. This was our first "national" conference - and our first as a vendor/owner. We had a wonderful time - we met a lot of amazingly talented people and it was so great to put faces with the names. We also learned a lot not only from fellow vendors, but also from turners joining the conference. This was our first but it will not be our last!! Thank You ALL for a GREAT time!
