My wife and I were graced with the presence of workingforwood "Jeff Powell" he drove all the way down here to spend a few hours with us and what a great guy he is, He gifted me the most beautiful pen I've ever owned, it can be seen here http://www.penturners.org/forum/showthread.php?p=1271359#post1271359
my wife and I had a great time with Jeff and wish he could have stayed a few days, even my 5 shepherds liked him, and that's rather unusual.
Have an easy ride home Jeff and thanks for driving down, we don't often get company, I'll turn a few of the blanks you left next week!!

Hey, you know the rules: no pics, didnt happen!!!:biggrin:

Seamus I'm afraid he would have been to embarrassed if he was seen around somebody like me, but here are another set of pics of his gift, which I will treasure till I croak!!

Jeff, you can come visit me any time you want!!! I'm only an hour or so from Ken. Funny thing when Ken came to visit me he only brought, ah, ah, Andrew and himself. But I must say we had a great visit here in North Alabama it just took a little while to get to understand that hillbilly talking he does,LOL!!!!

Jeff, Come see me, come see me!! Come on down to Houston...I will be waiting!:biggrin: Very nice pen! Absolutely beautiful!!

Well I just finished having an early dinner with Jeff at Texas Roadhouse. He called me as I was leaving work. Was here about an hour and hit the road again. A pretty funny dude to talk too. Really reminded me of myself. He just had this dang northern accent that the waitress didn't understand:biggrin:. And by the way, he like his steak burnt!! It looked like beef jerky to me!!!!

I wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen with you Ken. And yes, I do like my steak to look like charcoal and taste about the same. It's a long drive and dang lot of gas but worth it to get out and see some people in the real world. I had a great time. Ken fits right into the Tennessee scenery and I wouldn't want it any other way! If I do it again some time..there'll be no business involved. Just ribs and bbq's and fishing poles in the river or I'm not interested. :)
