I find myself having to slightly modify an inlaid blank with small bits of color( long story ). I don't know whether I should use tinted epoxy or paint .... and if I should use paint, which paint I should use. I hope to finish the pen with CA. Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, George

A good way to test/pick the paint color is to take a small piece and turn to the final dimension. Then paint a dowel with the test color an insert the hole. It will give you a good idea of the effect of the color. I use spray paint shot from both ends and allowed to dry overnight. I also give the fresh painted blank a spin at max rpm leaving a smooth consistent coating.
