Ooops! I did not mean to post this without checking the image size. It should be resized. Also, about the wood type. This is not really a tree but more of multi trunk bush. Lots of it here in the south. It has nice dark red seed heads that are used in decorating sometimes. The trunks are small and leaves turn bright red-orange in the fall. So- anyone recognize it? I have not seen any mention of this wood in any posts.

I have no idea, Jim! But it is nice! It looks kind of like Myrtle wood, so maybe it's some relative of that. Nice job!

I don't know what it is made out of but i did notice the top and bottom pieces ar bookmatched in a flipped over and turned end for end fashion. like a mirror image with a twist. It caught my eye and then messed with it.
still can't think of a guess.
