So, as a builder and architect in the middle of an endless snowy winter, I was very excited to pick up a medium sized interior renovation job with a company about a mile from my house. Just placed the lumber order yesterday and was excited to start on Monday. that was until I came home this afternoon and went online.
The building in the attached video was where the job was....ouch.

Holy Crap Greg! I am so glad you were not in there working when this happened.

Bummer. Sorry to hear that. Were you able to cancel you lumber order and at least not lose that expense also?

No problem there...I am lucky that I have a lot of work line up so i can just move onto the next but I feel very bad for the owners. My oldest son worked for them a few years ago and they are great folks..hate to see 150 people out of work so abruptly...but at least they all got out in time.

Only the begining. I believe you will read about alot more of these stories before the winter is over. There have been several here in NJ.

wow sorry to hear and see that happen. But I am glad to see that someone was smart enough to pull the fire alarm to get everyone out alive.

It made the national new out here in CA. Watched the building wall fall down. I was in my shop making pens today but the door was open and it was sunny. California weather is boring, thank God. If you listen to the local new people here a normal winter is a big event, I get a kick out it they all head up into the mountains and do a story on the snow. Mountians + Winter Storm = Snow, big deal. Then they show all Idiots in 4X4 SUV's going into the ditch or flipping because they were trying to do 70mph in 4 wheel drive in the snow. I feel for all you Midwestener and East Coasters becareful, stay warm. Email my Cousin in Boston but haven't heard back yet.
