Great looking Pen Peter. I love the contrast in that timber, much more pronounced than the Beefwood I have. Mine came from the pointy bit at the top of Queensland ( Cape York ).

Quite a story behind the mate who travelled up there from near me,he combines fishing in the gulf with his timber exploits. When he found this extreme version of this timber on return he got in touch with me to sell me some years ago.

Just when I thought I had seen the various possibilities of River Red Gum last week end I met a guy from up north who showed some furniture with most exciting colour and grain. Some coming to me in the middle of the yr.

I get excited when I find brilliant timber especially in Australia. A mate in France will certainly get one of these in his exchange parcel. I abide in the theory give your best.

6 degrees this morning ,winter draws on.Thanks for your comments well received over here as well.

Peter.
