Well I just howled when I opened this. You all have just discovered our (Victoria, BC's) Gordy Dodd. He is actually quite a guy...
He moved to Victoria from India in 1977 and opened a 2000 sq ft furniture store. Today it is 35,000 sq ft -- the largest furniture store on Vancouver Island. He has become wealthy, famous, and important philanthropist because of those ads. He's mimicked numerous famous names, movies, and tv shows – his ads have won many awards.
I used to work for P&G in a previous life — the fact that this group from essentially around the globe is discussing Gord's ads – good comments and bad – places them among the top .01% of successful ads in Canada and perhaps N America.
But they are breathtakingly cornball....!

That is too funny this Guy is from my home town in Victoria B.C.
His name is Dodd from Dodd's furniture. His famous slogan it " I won't be under sold" said in an estern accent.
