The best part of the day today was my daughters Baptism. The second best was installing a 20K BTU heater in the shop and getting to work with my dad. 11" of snow is coming Monday into Tuesday.

Please kind sir -- keep the snow/ice in Oklahoma we don't want it in Missouri - good news about the Baptism .

ELEVEN INCHES

Man! I hope it doesn't come down to Moore. Maybe it'll stop around Shawnee or OKC. :smile-big: (That was for Roy and Paul.)

Congratulations on the baptism, good stuff.

The heater too, I'm a little jeolous.

It looks like it is going to miss the OKC area according to Oklahoma EMS but Crane, Missouri is going to get hit just like us. BTW my mother-in-law lives in Galena, MO.

Congrats on the baptism! As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing like getting to work with your dad, no matter what your doing.

We're supposed to get 14 to 18 inches of white stuff.

Now Les ......that wasn't nice!!! We're only expecting 6-10 inches and 6 degree just 2 days ago it was 76.....

Now you Oklahoma guys know about the Oklahoma weather... Just wait a minute and it will change. 11" snow today sunny and 70 tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for the congrats. We are very proud of her.

Yes we are getting ready for it here in Crane, Mo. -- Galena is the county seat but the population can not be more than 100 - a ghost town now.

We live in country and the power will go away with ice ...

I actually might get to use my small electric snowblower that I bought after the blizzard of Xmas eve of 2009!! Who would have thought they would be using the word blizzard in OKla? Maybe coldest temps in 15+ yrs!

Kirk, here in Shawnee we're hunkered down waiting:frown:. We were told to expect 3 degrees and -20 wind chill:eek:...this Florida boy really made a wrong turn 20 years ago:cool:...

We have had solid ice since about 5pm. Not even going to try to go into work tomorrow. As long as the power holds it will be fun in the shop.

Roy, at least it should last too many days here. Weekend will be warmer. Might turn some pens if workshop in backyard is accessible and warm enough. Right now with 2 space heaters its 64 degrees in it. If not, I have some projects in house to do. Just glad I'm off work tomorrow!

Nothing like hearing 'The sky is falling' all day today. Roy, don't have to be from Florida to not like this cold. I am from here, and lived in Ohio for several years, still don't like it. Snow is fine with me, but all else......blah! If I can get out, I will be at work tomorrow. Might be interesting.
