Don't think I'm ready to hang up a "Possum Town Semi-Custom Knives" shingle yet, but who knows. Just finished my first semi-custom folder in a wonderful figured Hawaiian Koa @wolf creek knives.
Couldn't figure out how to get it on the lathe, so all work was done off lathe, by hand. Rough formed using MicroPlanes; finished shaping with aggressive 80 grit paper; smoothed up with, 320 grit paper followed by 1500 and 1800 MicroMesh then Black Mirlon. 2 coats sanding sealer, rubbed with Tan (Gold) Mirlon after each coat and finished with 3 coats Pens Plus, hand buffed between coats. Very satisfying and lotsa fun.
