The church I work for insisted I needed it. Even though I already have a $3000 MacBook Pro they bought for me.

Sigh.

Cool toy though. ;)

I'm using my iPad for pretty much everything! Yes, even sending this reply. I check my email and my forums using it, stream video, listen to audio books, and of course play games! My Wife is using it while she recuperates from her surgery (she is doing great!) while she can't hold on to her laptop. I'll probably get rid of my laptop!

I'm sure you'll enjoy your iPad!

Scott.

I really just don't need yet another device to keep track of.

However, me having it for a whopping couple hours has already yielded benefits. I've created standardized church wallpaper and lock screens. Identified a couple of new apps we need for the IT dept, and so on.

Good sound meter app too...

I love mine. I don't use my laptop much any more unless I am processing pen images for my website or doing my day job while working at home...

Listen, If you have any problems with it, feel free and send it my way. I would love to switch over to Apple any day.

Thanks DurocShark. Thats one of them there super computers ain't it? That will be sweet to hold all of about 400 mp3s and a couple photos. I think I have a couple mice around here I can put in there to keep it running.

We are looking at providing iPads to our physicians for mobile rounding patient care devices at the hospital where I work. I had one for about two weeks. When I took it back, SWMBO asked how soon the Christmas club check gets here.

Gotta love it when the wife says you need to buy new technology!

The iPads potential is limitless...Large enough to read and small enough to carry everywhere...I know of a few other hospitals that are working with iPads and I even know that one of the major shipping companies is looking to put them in the hands of all their handlers to make that process even faster.

I personally love mine...I use it all the time and rarely use my laptop anymore...its too heavy.
