My shop fox lathe finally came in and started to clean the cosmoline off of it.
Purchased this one since i was happy with their 8" jointer made by them.

Thing was a lot heaver than i thought it would be and a little bigger than i thought it would be.
Ship weight was 100lbs and it felt every bit of it if not more(UPS guy even agreed with that). Packing was a cardboard box with Styrofoam packing.
The cover over the belt was the only thing that got damaged calling Tuesday for a replacement.
Was going to put it on a shelf under the bench and move it when I needed to use it.
Now i have to find a stand or build a stand to put it on.
Anyone have any good suggestions on building one?
I was a HF today and notice a router speed control. Has anyone used one on a lathe so they could have a variable speed control?
