Gorilla super glue head scratcher

I am trying to permanently set the voltage on a multivoltage AC-DC adapter. My students being the crafty little buggers they are realized that by setting the voltage too high will set the CD players on fire.

I got some gorilla glue super glue and put a drop around the switch on one plug about an hour ago and it has not set.

Anyone know why?

Don't you need moisture to make it set?

Thanks. Water worked. Put a drop of water on it and it did nothing. Swirled it with a paper clip and it turned white then set up.
