Alb is great place to vist.

go on the tram to the top of the mountain, great golf courses, great casinos, great food. esecially mexican food. Go downtown to old Alb and shop and eat. Just a very nice place to visit.
 
Definitely stop by the mountains, do some hiking. Visit some of the local restaurants (Flying Star, Frontier, Monroe's)..Get your fill of green chile! Give me a call if you need more suggestions, I could meet up with you and show you around a bit!
 
From downtown head out 4th street to the El Pinto restaurant. Great Mexican food. I still order salsa from them. As has been said, you've got to take the tram to the top of Sandia Peak. Best $12 you'll spend.
 
The Tram ride is awesome, Old town is pretty neat, the church is beautiful. Things may have changed since we lived there, also go see the Petroglyphs out on the west mesa by the 5 brothers volcanoes.
