Did anyone watch season 2 of Spatacus? I cancelled my cable and was mad because I don't have Starz. Upon further investigation I found it on Netflix. Just finished watching it today. Wasn't sure if i'd like season 2, but found it to be just as awesome as the first season:biggrin:.

I watched the 1st season, and DVR'd the 2nd, but have been too busy trying to learn how to turn pens to watch it. I'm out of pen kits right now so maybe I'll turn it on.

Spartacus was a gladiator who led the Roman slave revolt shortly (relative term) before the fall of the Roman Republic. He was eventually supressed by Marcus Crassus, who was in the First Triumvirate with Pompey Magnus and Julius Caesar.

They're referring to a tv show on premium cable about Spartacus, called Spartacus: Blood and Sand. I haven't seen it yet, but it's on my 'when I can afford it' list.

After season 1 I thought how in the hell can they make a second season?? Low and behold they did a great job with season 2.

Gods Of The Arena is a prequal. The first season of Spatacus he killed them off in the end. They had trouble with season two because the guy playing Spartacus has cancer and had to go in for treatment. So this was made for filler.

I totally agree with you Jeff. I hope there will be a season 3. The finale to Season 2 was pretty awesome as well.

Ernie...
I couldn't agree more. I was a huge fan of season one and was very skeptical of season 2. It was all that season one was..... EXCEPT.....the slave girls were not as good. Other than that it was awesome. According to some of the "star" rags my wife gets, they made a prequel because Spartacus had cancer and did not have the stamina that was required to perform the part. They wanted to retain the same guy and "waited" for him.

She also said that it has been mentioned that they have began shooting the 3rd season, so hopefully he is ok. Again, consider the source from which this came.
On TV, at the end of the series they did make reference to Season 3.

I guess I'll have to queue that one up!

My wife had seen ads for it and was disappointed we couldn't get it ... but now that it's on Netflix Instant I guess I can't dent her any longer!
