Figure that one out Curtis.

Okay guys, I don't care if you are Red or Blue State people, or Green or Orange for that matter. Please do two things:

1) Educate yourself on the candidates on your ballot.

and

2) GO VOTE!!!!!

This system works best when we have as many educated voters at the polls as possible. I personally wish they would remove the party names from the ballots so people would really have to know who they wanted to vote for, but I'll take what I what I can for now.

Go Vote!!!!!!!

No excuses

GO VOTE!!!!!!

I can't wait for the mud slinging and name calling in the tv ads by both parties to end. If you believed everything you saw on tv, nobody deserves to win.

I don't believe everything I see on tv and I am still thinking nobody deserves to win.

We have several local races in my area. Many of the candidates are going door-to-door in my neighborhood. I always ask the same question: "Why should I vote for you?"

One candidate, yesterday, told me why I should not vote for his opponent. I asked my question again (five different times total). Each time he answered with a different reason why I should not vote for his opponent. Never once did he tell me why I should vote for him.

My rule is... and I believe that everyone should abide by it .... If you don't vote you can't BIT%&. Sorry for the rant but its a pet peeve.
See you at the poles.

I'll be working at the polls again. Voters who come into my precinct to vote will sign their names with very nice looking pens, but they won't be able to find out who made them. Using the voting place as a way to promote my pens would be totally wrong, but letting them feel how nice a high quality pen looks and feels isn't wrong.

Gerry... that is the coolest thing. That you have the self control to share the joy of a nice pen without trying to sell yourself is refreshing.

And working the polls is great too... Its one thing to work for a party, where you're in it "for the cause" and another thing to work the polls, where you're helping democracy in action - not pushing anything... Very nice!

Wife and I did the absentee ballets already since it makes it easier for us to have the time to do it.

That's no excuse!! Go to the polls and vote, again. No ID required, just pick a name that has not voted and help them out!!!

(Best to do this just before the polls close---least that's what I hear on Milwaukee TV)

I can only think of two reasons not to vote:

You are too young.
You are dead.

If you are too young, still educate yourself on what the candidates stand for. Learn how to read through the BS and find out how they will do the job that they are running for.

If you are dead, don't worry. Someone will vote in your name (at least in some precincts)

the gubernatorial candidates ignore and don't campaign in our area in fact none of the major candidates visit McNairy County, I guess they figure weuns anit nothin but a bunch of dirty rednecks that is too igrant to cast a ballot. Thank heavens for the internet, and like some one else said they don't tell us why to vote for them just why not to vote for their opponents, too bad the truth in advertising doesn't apply to political candidates.
But all 4 of us go and vote, we only live about 100 yards from the polling place.

I'm with you Mike...know your candidates and hit the ballet boxes. Unfortunately I am not eligible to vote, but I did get a letter from immigration a few days ago, so it is quite likely next time when the real big vote comes around I'll be there to make my choice.
