I remember Blanda when I was a kid in Houston in the early 60s. I grew up thinking the quarterback was also the kicker.

I remember him and the games he pulled out the fire. That's when the Oakland Raiders were real and you could go to a game and have fun. Not crap they have now, gotta have body guards to go to watch a BAD team. I don't even listen on the radio any more. To me the Raider fans nowaday are as bad as Laker fans. That should start some fireworks. I went to Raider games untill the left for LA, even had season tickets for a few years. Curtis be my guest.

When I lived in the Bay Area, my neighbor and close friend was a die hard Raiders fan... if they played at home, he and his brother were there... in those days, the Raiders only played one quarter... they just played a holding game in the first three quarters... then in quarter four... they romped and stomped.
