This morning I am looking around the site and I accidentally ignored someone. Of course being me I felt bad checked where it said ignoring and I apparently ignored someone else! I was able to undo that. If you do ignore someone does that person get notified?

I don't think so, but as a test I'll put you on ignore until you reply to this message. That assumes you haven't accidentally ignored me.
 
Whenever you write in a thread if you are ignoring someone you will get a message within that thread that states something like there are other replys from ignored people. You can click on that and it will then show you what those people wrote. It would also give you a clue to who you are ignoring. Now if you are on the long list of people who are ignoring me then you will not see this but will see the message.;)
