for those of you who have been supporting me over the last many months and my efforts to get ready for and go to the LA Pen Show in February . . .

I lived through it (obviously.) I can't really say how it was overall. I didn't arrive till Friday afternoon. Ended up with heat exhaustion early Saturday so wasn't able to "be on the floor." I was down there all day Sunday, even though the AC in that end of the hall was still not great.
No pictures - too busy when I was there. Lots of repeat customers was nice to see. And a few orders for pen holders to work on when I got home.

It's really difficult to get to the place where you know you are not able to continue something you have enjoyed so much in years past. But I was able to bid farewell to my repeat customers and make sure they could contact me on internet. I was able to thank Stan for the great worok he has done for the LA Pen Show over the years.

I have yet to fully recovered from the results of all involved. I was able to chat with Dale and Karl at the end of our last local meeting about whats up.

This isn't the end of things for me here. I'll still be around to pester ya'll. But I really need to take some time and rest "my brain."

Thank you all for your suport and sorry there aren't any pictures.

Sorry to see that things have not worked as expected. Take a break, do some planning, re-adjustment, and then hopefully get back to the lathe and make more of your lovely pens!!
:wink::wink::wink:

Hey Cathy, Sounds like you may have over done it and need a rest badly. Take a break and then take another look at what you can do. Maybe not huge shows that require months to get ready for. until then pester away and my best thoughts and wishes are with you. Above all I hope you get rested and well.

I've been watching for your post on your show. I thought that maybe I missed it. I'm sorry how it went, but I'm glad that you made it and were able to see some of your admirers. It must be a good feeling to have people looking for you at your shows.
Take care Cathy Sue, keep giving the n00bs your expertise and we'll be watching for your new creations!!

Doug
