A word of caution. Here in Wisconsin you are not allowed to transport elm from one county to another because of the risk of spreading Dutch Elm disease. The disease in elm trees is caused by a fungus, Ceratocystis uimi, and results in brown streaks in the wood and death to the tree. This may not be a problem in your area, but it was a major one in ours. Most of the Elm trees that did not die were cut down and burned to stop the spread. Jim S
