Fragrant Oil use in CA/Oil finish

Good morning Pensters!

I was wondering if anyone had tried using a fragrant oil, like lemon or lavender, with CA in a finish. If so, first, would it work like BLO does and, second, would the fragrance be noticeable after completion?

Only one to find out...just DO it and let us know how it workes out......

I would not recomend lemon or orange as the oils are solvents (put some fresh zest on styroform and it eats a hole in the styrofoam). So not sure how it would react to the CA.

I guess I will be the first. I am specifically interested in lavender.

I'm not sure what the chemical reactions would be with CA, but I know that they have done similar things with the stabilizing compounds AZ Silhouette (and probably others I am not aware of) sell scented stabilized blanks....

Maybe try a finish that is not so tempermental as CA....

That's a good idea. Maybe a mix with the WTF would accomplish what I was going for.
