I found this component set in a bag marked dayacom rhodium/22k statesman fountain. Looked up the bushings and thought the majestic full size would work...but the end cap should have been smaller I see..I'm going to try to take apart and re-turn the end cap end..but I digress(sorry) Should I leave the ink cartridge out or install...and the instructions didn't show the other thingy, for lack of a better term, just the ink cartridge. What is the twist thing and does it belong with this set? And any trick to assembly before I ruin my first FP?

It is a ink pump or converter. It fills with ink from a bottle instead of using a cartridge. There is info on fountain pens in the library. The kit appears to be the full size Statesman.
Do a good turn daily!

Typically, the ink cartridge provided is not good quality ink, so the suggestion is to purchase quality inks. (Our vendors here on IAP can help, for a start.) Most turners just toss the provided ink to avoid any mix up with their supply of good ink. Fountain Pens...a whole new world!
