Thanks for the commments, everyone. Looks like BOW is the favourite of more people than just me! It turns nicely, finishes nicely, and looks great, too! What more can a woodturner ask?

Thanks for the comment on the "scans," Chuck. They're actually photos taken with my Canon Powershot Pro 90is and a +1 closeup adapter lens. I've still got to work out a better lighting setup, though. I used a flash diffuser on an external flash for these shots, but I still got harsher shadows than I wanted. My next effort is going to be to set up a light tent along the lines of some that I've seen in the photography discussions.
