Its a standard international cartridge. You can get them most anywhere, but if you want the best cartridges for it Privite Reserve Ink is what you want. http://www.privatereserveink.com/index.html

Anthony sells the Private Reserve inks
But if you are looking for other brands... I also really like Noodler's inks, you can try these sources that I have used..

I have bought from all of the above and they all give good service...

Thanks for the links guys but I was more looking for if my nephew wanted to go to Staples and buy a few cartridges what should I tell him to look for. I went down to my local stationary store and they had no clue other then this is what we sell.

.....and when Dan goes back to the stationary store and asks for a standard or international cartridge, they will still say, this is what we have, could I interest you in a fine ball point pen [:D]

I believe you, here's the story.

My wife wanted to get my nephew a few extra cartridges with the pen on Christmas day. Last night I gave her the pen and the cartridge and told her they are standard. She goes to the store with pen and cartridge in hand. The guy tells her no one in the store knows what this is and shows her some 2 inch long cartridge. She comes back with the "sure these are standard" evil eye look crossed with I am the one that just ruined his gift.

Somedays I would like to take a baseball bat to my head and just get it over with.

I get extra cartridges at the crafts store Michaels. They are in a package that says Manuscript Ink Cartridges. International Size.12 cartridges to the package.
