I missed a good era of cheap project cars that still had hope. To find a worthwhile project now you have to fork out the entire savings! I am jealous of my dad who squandered multiple classic muscle car prospects in his teen and young adult years.

Thanks Randy, that brought back many great memories along with how many of those fine cars we destroyed in many entertaining ways, most often with these words, "Hey yeall, watch this. Som'body hold my beer!"

Love that classic iron. My dream car it a truck. A Dodge Little Red Express truck to be exact. Doesn't matter the year. But they do go for more than I can afford at this point. Still love to look at them.

I had that Red 1959 Chevy Impala in one of the scenes of the drive in, with a 409 and 3 2s (tri-power) a wild camshaft and the mags and the 4 speed, Candy Apple Red Paint and white interior, I sure wish I had that puppy now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the memories !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I passed up a 62 Impala SS with both consoles and in console tach. 2 consoles means 4 buckets and I think they are pretty rare. Itwas a non runner, but I skipped it in favor of a junkyard 72 Trans Am that I built instead. Were those mags aluminum slots or rallys with baby moons and beauty rimgs? It seems like most of the car guys under 30 have no idea what the underlined words mean. My 23 year old stepson and his buddies can't figure out what babys and the moon has to do with cars.

Man that is cool!~ I like the music too! I had a 66 Plymouth Fury. Sundays was wash and wax day! I sure miss those days!

I used to build Street Rods (pre '49) and show at most of the big NSRA shows, OK City, Publeo,Columbus,Springfield etc. back 10 years ago what fun, just became to expensive.

Makes me want to go out and find the two door '57 chevy....black with red interior...I had during college....can't believe I traded it in on a new Monte Carlo when I graduated in 1971 or my wife's 67 mustang we sold in 1977 for $500. Loved those cars. Loved the video. Thanks for the memories.
do a good turn daily!

A friend had I think a 68 Fury with push button shift and a mechanical cruise. If your foot was on the floor when you set the cruise, that is where the cruise set.
I wish the nusic was full length, now I have to search some songs.

53 Dodge 4Dr with a real Hemi, 56 Ford with a 312ci 4 bbl with 3 on the tree. Shelbyized 66 Mustang Knochtback, V8-60 midget, and a number of other dirt track cars. Then I had a family, 73 pinto wagon, 76 Ford Courier, 79 GMC 6cyl 3speed. 83 Firebird(peice of crap) 86 GMC S-15 Jimmy, 2000 Ford Exploder. Now 2002 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner and our Green Car, HP Ford Expedition with heavy duty tow package. Getting old (70 this year) don't know what the next vehicle will be as the two we have barely have K on them. A lot depends on if we stay in California or look for greener pastures (insert various political comments). I have had the fun of driving many High Performance street cars in my life but the wildest was a friends 427 Cobra that was brutal, an F-15 on street. He still has it and drives it. It is worth a fortune but his family can sell after he is gone. Bill and I took it out last summer and found some kid in a hopped up Honda and showed him what 450+ NASCAR horse power is all about. He thought it was a kit car. Sure glad there were no cops around, he would have got a ticket just for the noise that thing makes. I think it was better in the 50 and 60's as we could build our own vehicles without restrictions. There is no substitution for Cubic inches.

This is my current daily driver, a 70 El.... Ive also had a 68 El, a 71 Chevelle, a 70 Chevy stepside and 5 different yr Camaros.... Man I love me some Chevy muscle....lol

I'm right there with you. My wife found a few years ago that we had 5 Chevy trucks here at home, a 64 67,69, 83, 86, 02, a 78 the shop I was working at and a 49 and 72 at the farm. I had to thin the herd a little.

Back in the mid 60`s when i was overseas a lot guys had pictures of their girl friends and center folds up in their foot lockers. I had pictures of the new Camaro`s that just came out, could not wait till i was out. Or was it the Cutlass, i forget. Carl

Hmmm

My first car (as an owner) was a yellow w/black top '57 Chevy Belaire two door hardtop affectionately referred to as the "Canary Bomb". It could get out of its own way.

Later on I had a 67' Chevy Impala 2 door hardtop w/335 hp 396 c.i.d. that also could get out of its own way. It was also yellow - had to give that up when I went from 1 kid in '67 to 6 kids in '71. [the sacrifices we make for our offspring]

Camaro's came out in '67 .... the Olds 442 Cutlass was out by about that same time frame, when I had my '67 Chevy my Nephew had a 442.

The older el caminos would hold a huge payload under the bed and had air balancers on them so they were the perfect smugglers car. I wonder how I know that
