I found a new way to screw something up!

I turned a Desert Ironwood fountain pen for myself and finished it with CA/BLO, than Hut Crystal Coat, and finally a coat of Renaissance Wax. It shined like glass. I have been carrying it in my shirt pocket for a couple of weeks now and on a killer hot humid day, well 95 deg is killer hot up here in the NE anyway, I was soaking wet with sweat and the part of the pen closest to my skin lost it's shine. Don't get me wrong it still looks OK just blotchy with dull and shinny spot. If the dull satin finish was uniform it might even be a look I would use in the future. I just don't want this to happen with pens I sell.

Any thoughts?
