I went with something simple to start with on the new 1221, mostly because I didn't really have a lot of time to spend, but couldn't wait to "play". I was pretty proud of how even the transition was to the nib section. I'm a little disappointed that the nib section doesn't transition as well with itself. Anyway, here's a Berea Elegant Sierra Button Click in Bocote. Finished with Pens Plus (probably my first pen shown here where I used that finish since I just started with it recently).
I finally decided to order some of the Ohto Flash Dry cartridges to check out. They do dry very quickly, which is great for those lefties who haven't figured out how to not smear their ink (selling point?). The cartridge that came with it seemed to extend a little further than I would prefer, but certainly not enough to be a problem, however I believe it actually made the needle tip on the Ohto look better on this pen than if it had not extended as much. What do you think of the needle tip cartridge in this pen?
