I've actually seen one of these in person and know for a fact that it will catch fish. Small ones, but it works.
Only a two pound fish?
Catch a two pound bass with a pen, and I'm sure the 'only' will disappear from that sentence!
Now for four pounders, I think I'll skip the pen and use my St. Croix rod...in fact, I might skip the pen altogether!
Now I've got to pack - lake trout fishing at dawn tomorrow with steel line...hope we don't get the thunderstorm they're forcasting!

Interestig gimmik. I have made pen desk sets with those tiny reels. Cute but don't sell well.

That's as ridiculous as the Popiel Pocket Fisherman, and just about as useful.

I had a pocket fisherman and I thought it was great (until it fell apart). I use to take it deep sea fishing for flounder and it worked very well.
