I finished my first Virage pens today. The kits are Berea Hardwoods, that I bought from Exotic Blanks. I really like the design and profile. The long nib makes them very comfortable to write with.

One of the features I really like is the roller clip. It adds a distinctive touch.

I knew these blanks would be translucent, so I painted the tubes and colored the epoxy. You can still see the darker epoxy through the polished body, although it doesn't look too bad. I should have painted the inside of the blanks. Live and learn.

Nice job on the pens - fit and finish look to be spot on.
I have not made a virage and am curious - Have you made the sierra pens? If so what do you find the difference to be?

I've made a few of each.. The assembly is quite a bit different, but the tubes/bushings are the same. I've actually finished a pen for a sierra but put on a virage instead.

I think the Sierras tend to look better with a bit of curve to the body, while the virage does well with a straight barrel design.

I have made Sierra pens, but it's been so long, I can't really remember the differences. It seems to me, though, the assembly is quite a bit different.
